English Oh English...

English. How many of you fluent in English? How many of you love English?

I love English. I was exposed this language since I was young by my mother. My mother, whom I called Mama would taught and sing with me and my siblings nursery rhymes. For instance, “Are You Sleeping,Brother John?”, “Twinkle,Twinkle Little Star” and “Three Blind Mices”.

My certificate.
Attending   Smart Reader was a must for my siblings and I.Starting from my oldest brother to my youngest sister, we must attended this English tuition since Level 1 until we graduated from the programmed. I still remembered, not only for the first year and second year but until my fourth year in Smart Reader, I would  always cried in the beginning of the class and Mama  would always walked with me to my class. Of course, that wouldn’t be enough to ease the heart of seven-years-old,who known she would be left by her mother to seat with unfamiliar faces in a classroom. So what do my beloved mother’s had to do… She would sit with me, in the class, with Mrs. Tan’s teaching her young students. Just to make me feel comfortable and learn. Mama had to sacrificed and leave her youngest daughter at home with her husband for about two hours. Luckily, the rest of my sibling had no problem likewise.

Oh! How I feel thankful to Allah to have my Mama as a mother. There had been a few times where I would asked myself why do I have to learn English. Why do Mama so eager to make us learn English? Why do Mama and Abah,my father would have the heart to spent their money on the expensive fee and the expensive books? When they could uses the money for themselves? Why would Ma would sent all five of us on different day with different time to Smart Reader just to learn English? When she must be tired from working all day? Why would she had to troubled herself, just to let her children learn this stupid language? Why? Why? Why?

Not only since I started college in KPTM Bangi and being in the capital of Malaysia, I started to notice the important of mastering this second language.

I don’t know about you but for my batch, since standard one , we had no choice but to learn Mathematics and Science in English until in form three. In form four ,I was pretty devastated when our last Minister of Education, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced that the ever so controversial policy Teaching and Learning of Science and Mathematics in English (PPSMI) is completely abolished in 2012. Do you know how much we had to struggled all this time to learn these subjects in English? What about all of the hardwork that  my teachers, both of my parents and I had been put into? I was pretty irritated, until my teachers gave us a choice whether to learn in Bahasa Melayu or in English. Of course, all of us, classmates minus one (betrayer, lol) choose to learn in English.

Did you know, in college everything is taught in English except for certain subject such as Pengajian Malaysia. So,the first thing I noticed was that you have to really conquer English in college. It would be pointless to go to classes if we didn’t understand what had the lecturer’s taught. Most importantly,it’ll be dangerous if we misunderstood the meaning. What if you answer a test with misleading translation and you’re just one mark away from passing it. Wouldn’t it be sad?

13 Reasons Why.
I love this book.
Futhermore, you will feel left out when you didn’t know English. For example, you’re around by English speaker. They are having a conversation. Wouldn’t you wanna know what they’re talking about. I bet you do especially if they give you a look. What about all the creative movies that produced from primary English spoken country such as USA,UK and Australia.. I’ll tell you, it is a waste if you watch an American produced action movie by understanding the storyline through the subtitle. You wouldn’t feel engrossed as those who knows the storyline by listening and understand it. I find that most of the county novel is better than Malaysian. Most of Malaysian novel is commonly known about love which I do not like. Compared to American and British, they had a wide variety of genre. One of my favourite is mental health’s theme.

Besides, you can learn about yourself when you know English. Most of people in the internet uses English. You can connect with your kind of people anywhere in the world through the internet. English is not only a tool to connect with people, indirectly you’ll also get a new information. It is a tool to find the right people with similar identity as you and a right community for you to connect and shared your problem with. Trust it is a great feeling to be understood.

Check out this website,if you’re struggled with mental’s health issues.
And do watch her YouTube's video.

Next, not fluent in English is one of the reason of job seeker to fail their interview. The requirement for most of job vacancies is required to fluent in English. It is consider as the most valuable investment for the future to have English influencer. So, you’ll have a higher chance to success with the interview.

Last but not least, learning English is fun and it can boost your level of confident. I love most of my English classes so far. Most of it is fun. You feel like different person. You can turn over a new leaf. For example, I’m not really a talkative person in class as I was in focus mood however in English class I found myself more interactive and cheerful. It really does boast my confident. I feel like I can express myself better and shared my voice as I’m learning English.

Okay. That's all.Good Luck you guys.and do Wish me luck,y'all!
