Officiallystudent of KPTM BANGI.

Hello! Welcome to my first post.

You can call me Sis Reen.

It had been more than a week in KPTM Bangi. It would be my honour to share with you about my first week in Kolej Poly-Tech MARA,Bangi. To be precisely about the differences of high school with college.A little bit about myself, I lived in Machang,Kelantan but I attended my secondary school in Tanah Merah named,Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Dato' Mahmud Paduka Raja (1). My beloved mother teach there.  I loved it there.Knowing my mother was near me, made me feel safe.

A vie from my room,
First of all, you do not required to live in dorm in SMKDMPR(1) whereas in KPTM Bangi it is a mandatory to lived in the hostel for semester 1 and semester 2. There are a few of student that didn’t lived in hostel. One of my classmmates, he lived in Bangi. So,it is cheaper for him to not live in hostel. My whole life,I have never being far away from my parents for such a long period of time. At first,it is sad. As my parents,my brother and my youngest sister said their goodbye to me, I was on the verge of tears.  The  first half of the  day is full with activities of orientation. For batch of July 2016, the orientation day were total of four days. We were as busy as a bee. So,there wasn’t much time to called my parents. Its had been more than a week in KPTM BANGI,I felt proud . I can cope here well enough. It gives me chance to be braver and independent to make my own decision without relying on my parents.

Futhermore, textbooks in secondary school were lend to student. We are lucky to be a Malaysian as the government helped us in this situation. While in college, you have to buy your own textbook which can be pretty expensive. Then again,we are required to write our notes in log books or exercise book in secondary school by our teacher which can cost a lot of money. However, in college your are able to write your notes in any types of source. Whether on paper or on your electronic devices. It depends on you, whether to write the notes or not.

Moreover, the time table in secondary school is packed full of classes. In comparison, there is a huge gap of time in timetable in college. I was very surprised. For me,its kinda boring to wait between classes. I didn’t like it. Maybe I was used of being busy. I was eager to learn. It’s been almost six months on break. I missed learning so much! Hopefully,it was just temporary.Maybe it was on purpose for us to get used to the surrounding.

Besides, social life in secondary school mostly are hierarchy. This is one of the reason why I was depressed in secondary school.I am an introvert. I didn’t like to stick with one person or a group of friends. So, I am constantly afraid of being judge. On the other hand, in college, you  can befriend with whoever you want. Sometime I got asked whether I’m alone when I was eating at the café in college. I didn’t really mind now. There are always people who would join with me. Even though I didn’t know their name. I felt blessed. Thank you to those who are kind enough to join with a loner. But be wary, there are also a group of people who are rude. They would teased you.  Don’t lose your spirit. You are here to learn. There wiil be those who are kind. Always be grateful to Allah. Allah will helps us. If you are distress, don’t be shy to talk to a counsellor.

That's all I have for now. Thank you for spending your time to read my post.
